Wisdom of the Living World Series

My latest body of work delves into the intricate and ancient botanical world, focusing on extant species from the primordial plant kingdom. Through comprehensive research, I explore the cellular structures, morphology, pollination strategies, adaptations, transmutations, photosynthetic processes, and evolutionary narratives of both fossilized and living ancient plants. These species, with their perfected morphologies, have evolved remarkable structures and systems to thrive and sustain life in diverse habitats, offering profound lessons in resilience and adaptation.

My artistic and architectural practice has long been inspired by nature, with biomimicry serving as a cornerstone of my creative experiments and research. This connection naturally drew me to the themes of survival and adaptation, encouraging a deeper exploration of the universal patterns and principles found in the natural world. Geometry and mathematical archetypes in nature—symbols of balance, cycles, rhythm, and harmony—resonate deeply in this work, guiding my creative investigations.

These paintings and drawings form the foundation of this inquiry, and will be further enriched through rapid prototyping experiments involving lignan and brassicas. This process intertwines artistic expression with scientific curiosity, creating a dynamic dialogue between the ancient and the contemporary, the natural and the abstract.

I offer commissioned artworks, conceptual installations, and exhibition pieces that explore the intersection of nature, humanity, and the built environment. Each work is rooted in research, presence, and sensory experience—crafted to shift perception, awaken connection, and provoke dialogue.
