“My practice is rooted in research, intention, and collaboration—each project a living ecosystem. Through art and creative direction, I create meaningful experiences that inspire transformation, translating complexity into beauty and crafting spaces for connection and reflection.”
Meet the Artist + Creative Director
Lisa Moses
Lisa Moses is a multidisciplinary artist and Creative Director whose work lives at the intersection of art, spatial design, branding, and consciousness studies. As the founder of Lion 8, she brings over two decades of experience shaping transformative, sensory-rich experiences across media and scale.
Her practice spans paintings, drawings, installations, and exhibition work, as well as select roles in creative direction for brands, institutions, and cultural spaces. Known for crafting visually immersive and emotionally resonant environments, Lisa weaves together the intuition of an artist with the systems-thinking of a spatial strategist.
Rooted in biomimicry, meditation, and perception, her process invites deeper awareness of the ecologies—inner and outer—that shape our lives. She sees design as a conscious, relational act: one that can heal, illuminate, and reimagine how we inhabit space, self, and society.
Lisa’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Interior Design Magazine, Artforum, and The Boston Globe, and exhibited nationally and internationally. Her accolades include a National Endowment for the Arts Grant, the ASID Crystal Award (First Place), the IIDA International Sustainable Design Competition (First Place), and the Bessie Award for Performance, Installation, and New Media.
An experienced educator and collaborator, Lisa has taught at institutions including the Rhode Island School of Design, Naropa University, and the University of Colorado. She continues to offer visioning sessions and critiques to artists, entrepreneurs, and mission-driven leaders—guiding projects that honor authenticity, ecology, and creative possibility.
Lisa earned her Master’s Degree in Adaptive Reuse | Interior Architecture from RISD, a Collegiate Teaching Diploma from Brown University, and a BFA from Pennsylvania State University. She is based in Upstate New York and works with clients and collaborators across the U.S. and internationally.
